How Does a Tenant Sign Up For PendoPay?

When a Landlord/Property manager sends their tenant a PendoPay invitation, a digital application will be sent to the tenants email within minutes.

When you click on the “Get Started” button it will lead to the set up pages:

Add your signature under the Authorization then click “Sign”

Once you’ve pressed “Sign” you will the be able to click the
“Next, Connect Bank Account” button:

Clicking the “Connect Bank Account” button will bring you to our payment processor integration with VoPay. First, select your bank account:

If you do not see your banking provider icon, you may search by bank name in the search field below the bank logos.

Next, you can select your bank and connection type. You have two options on how to add your details:

  1. You may opt to log into your bank account directly as outlined below (by selecting the Connection Type: “Online”). This will allow your account to be authourized in automatically by verifying you have direct access to the bank account.

 

    Once you click “Continue” you will be brought to the Terms and Conditions for approval:

 

    Upon accepting the Terms of Service and the Terms and Conditions, click Continue and your bank’s website will appear, where you can log into your bank account. This page will be different for each person depending on which bank provider you use. Input your card number and online banking number as usual. You will then see a loading page similar to the below:

 

    Note: You may be prompted by your bank to answer a security question and/or asked which specific account to link.

 

    Once that’s done you should get a Thank You message that your account has been added to PendoPay:

 

    You will also receive an email similar to below:

 

  1. If you opt to manually input your banking information, Pendo will verify the account information by depositing a microtransaction ($0.01 – $0.99) to the tenants bank account. Once that amount is successfully deposited, our team will verify the account as active. Please note this may take a few days.
