How do I create a PendoPay transaction? [Property Management Company]

Once a tenant is successfully set up on PendoPay, their card will change from a pending status:

To a completed status indicating your tenant has completed all the paperwork necessary:

You can now proceed with setting up payments for your tenant.  There are two different transaction types:

  1. Monthly (recurring)
  2. One time

Click the Collect button to set up a one time payment.

  • If you own and manage your own building(s), you will select No under Pay Owner.
  • If you manage buildings/units on behalf of an Owner, you will select Yes under Pay Owner.  This will allow you to include the Property Management fee or any other fee that the Owner needs to pay you.



To set up a monthly/recurring payment, click the drop down under Payment Type and select Recurring.

*If you are setting up a monthly payment and todays date is past the first of the month.  Click here to see how to set up transactions so you can collect rent now and set up future payments on the 1st.

**Scheduled rent payments cannot be created 40+ days in advance.

If your company handled suite Repairs/Maintenance on behalf of an owner and you need to be reimbursed, click Yes under Repairs/Maintenance:
